Altin Jewellers — Returns & Custom Order Policy

Every Altin Jewellers piece is custom-made to your agreed specifications. Please review your design, size, materials and engraving details carefully before approving your order.

Custom-made jewellery

We do not accept returns, exchanges or refunds for a change of mind on jewellery made to your specifications, including personalised, engraved and bespoke pieces. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

Faulty items or incorrect specifications

If your jewellery has a defect or does not match the agreed specifications, please contact us promptly so we can assess the issue and arrange an appropriate remedy.

Where the Consumer Protection Act applies, qualifying faulty, unsafe or defective goods may be returned within six months of delivery, without penalty and at our risk and expense. You may choose a repair, replacement or refund as provided by the Act. This period does not limit any rights that continue beyond six months under applicable law.

Wear, damage and alterations

Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse and damage caused by improper care or third-party alterations are not manufacturing defects. We can assess the piece and provide a repair quotation where appropriate. These exclusions do not remove any rights you have under applicable law.

Sizing and design changes

Changes requested after approval, including resizing or design alterations, will be assessed individually and may incur additional charges. If we have made an error against the agreed specifications, we will correct it at no cost to you.

Order cancellations

Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel a custom order. We will confirm the stage of production and explain any applicable cancellation terms, subject to your rights under South African law.

How to raise a concern

Please provide your proof of purchase or order details, a description of the concern and photographs where possible. Contact us before sending jewellery so we can arrange a suitable return method.
